International Cooperation: Why? How to make? How?
In 2009, the European Commission presented its communication for a strategic European framework for international cooperation in science and technology (S&T) highlighting that major global challenges such as climate change, poverty, infectious disease, threats to energy, food and water supply, security of the citizen, networks security and the digital divide highlight the need for effective global S&T cooperation to promote sustainable development.
