What is the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)?

Een -storyThe Enterprise Europe Network is the result of a public call funded by the DG Enterprise and Industry through the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) and the merger of two previous networks, the Innovation Relay Centres and the Euro Info Centres.

The EEN is a network of operational offices located throughout the territory of the European Union, complying with the European Commission goal to integrate and streamline services to support enterprises and technological innovation, with particular attention to the competitiveness of European SMEs.

The network is now present in over 50 countries and with over 600 active organizations.

Objectives

The goal of the network is twofold:

  • to help companies, universities and research bodies to develop their innovation potential;
  • raise awareness of the policies of the European Commission.

What are the guiding principle of the network?

"One-stop desk” and “No wrong door”.

EEN is a unique point of reference for the different needs of enterprises that relies on the support of a network of "one stop desks" complementary to each other on the basis of the principle of "signposting"..
